Geelong 1st Sunday ride report – 6 October 2019

Windy conditions greeted the starters for this months ride, Dave Gudgeon making the trek from Newstead to join us. It was decided that we would head to Trentham, always a good ride through the Wombat forest albeit at 80 KPH.
I was full of trepidation taking my latest purchase for it’s first club ride. With Ron Study taking lead rider duties and the ever reliable Graeme Wilson taking up the T.E.C duties that he really enjoys.
After a short ride on the ring road we were on the Ballan Rd through Anakie and into the twists. What a fantastic sight seeing all the dams full and the cattle standing in tall lush grass. One can only feel sympathy for our northern states at the moment.
After an event free trip we were soon in the Trentham bakery enjoying the treats and varied conversation. Discussion arose over our return trip, and we decided to return through the twists to Daylesford for a quick fuel stop then back to Geelong to end another great day.
PS very happy with my new ride. Andy Symons.
