Geelong 3rd Sunday Ride report, 21 Mar

A good turn up of riders 8 in total, with the weather expectations of a possible shower or two.

Our destination was Meredith for a barbeque morning tea/ lunch at Graeme Wilson sons 10 Acre property to help celebrate Graeme 80th Birthday.

Out through Ceres once again, turned right into Pollocksford Road to the Hamilton Highway, left towards Inverleigh.

A few kilometers past Inverleigh we turned right on a nice windy road that takes you to Shelford.

From there we headed back towards Geelong and just past Teesdale did a left hand turn towards Lethbridge.

This is where things went pair shaped, I turned into the wrong Road that turned into a dirt Road I led the boys on a dirt Road till we reached the Ballarat Road that took us to Lethbridge.  ( Please accept my apologies.)

Just past Lethbridge we turned right into Perdrisat Road that takes in some very steep hills and windy road to Maude.

Douglas Aldham was waiting for us in his car; we rode through She-Oaks and ended up at Meredith where Graeme took over to guide us to his son’s property.

On arrival Graemes son “Craig”had, tea, coffee, fruit cake ready for us and fired up the barbeque and cook up a storm.

There was an open invitation to have a beer out the well stocked fridge, that was greatly appreciated but being on bikes none of us drink.

We had a great time together and a pleasure to help Greame celebrate his 80th birthday that is later in the month.

Thank you to Graeme and his son Craig for all their effort and hospitality.
