Geelong 3rd Sunday Ride Report

Cool “drizzly ” conditions greeted 11 riders for this months shorter ride, it was dry when I left home but as I neared  Geelong the light  rain  started,  and I wondered how  many would  turn up. By the time for the “off” we. had a nice group of varied machines including Murray Courtis from Melbourne on a retro Z 900 “jaffa ” very nice indeed. After a short discussion it was decided on a ride inland to  stay away from the coastal showers. Stan (ride  leader)  took us out through Ceres onto Pollocksford Bridge Rd, then  a short gallop to Inverleigh (more showers)  staying on the Hamilton Hwy heading towards Cressy. Turning left  into Winjeel Rd and heading for our stop at Winchlesea (more  showers)  we stopped at a very tiny coffee shop and cafe, but were ushered into an adjoining house to wait for food and coffee. After some very nice food and drinks plus motorcycle banter. After 40 mins or so and with some blue sky it was helmets on and everyone heading for home concluding a very nice day.
