Geelong Chapter Run Report
3rd Sunday of the Month 15/04/2018
The rather low number of riders on this supposed 3rd Sunday “Shed run” probably gives some indication of conditions? Some members (who shall remain nameless but have initials SM) even had the temerity to turn up in a CAR and to say “I’m no sado masochist- you guys have your own fun”. And then promptly went home!
Still, we needed to be there as a new rider Travis who has recently moved to Geelong from Western Australia had joined us all eager to go.
After chewing the fat for a while under the cover of Subway’s roof, three hardy souls set off in more or less driving rain with the intention of going “not far – we will follow you”. A rather gusty and slightly wet and arduous ride of 10kms brought us to the Farmers Place Coffee Shop on Anglesea Rd which was deemed quite far enough.
More chewing the fat, this time with coffee and cake after which poor Mark had to ride home to Lara (still raining). The rest of us, not so far.
You gotta be there or be square!
