Geelong 3rd Sunday Run Report, 17 Oct
Something for the Melbourne guys to look forward to very soon! An actual motorcycle ride!
The Geelong boys managed our usual 3rd Sunday run with 7 riders turning up on a somewhat overcast day. Ron led and had picked out a very nice ride that we don’t often do towards Elaine. We started off as ever through the Barrabool Hills (which we never tire of ) and then through Gheringhap, Maude and then down the nice twisties of She Oaks Road and finally hitting the Ballarat Road at Meredith.
From there it became more interesting as Ron led us down some quite potholed narrow country road on the Ballan- Meredith Road through Morrrisons and to the Mt Edgerton- Elaine Road. We stopped for coffee and good fellowship at the little Elaine store and coffee shop. (Good coffee and you could sit inside as it was quite cold out).
Heading home Mark and Nick headed straight down the highway back towards Lara where they live whilst Stan led the rest through Lethbridge, Bannockburn and then our favourite – Pollockford Bridge Road back into Ceres.
A good days ride. Hope you Melbourne guys are not far off?!
