Geelong Run Report, 1st Sunday, 4 Feb

This month’s ride was essentially a scoping expedition to start working out some of the routes for the upcoming Otways Extension rally. In fact on the Tuesday 5 of us also rode down to Gellibrand to finalize things there and we spent the night down there just to check the beers were OK. (They are nice and fresh)!

Brilliant riding weather the last few days and it was great on Sunday to have two of the wives along in the shape of Trish Study and Caz Dutton.

We went back roads down to Deans Marsh where we enjoyed coffee and fellowship. As seems to happen all too often down that way our illustrious leader managed to lead us down some gravel roads for a kilometer or two which dirtied the bikes and rattled the ladies! At least no-one fell off and don’t worry there won’t be any gravel roads on the rally!

After coffee we headed down the twisty Deans Marsh/Lorne Rd and back to Geelong along the Great Ocean Road with  the sea sparkling blue on our right. A nice day out!
