Geelong Run Report, 3 April

Geelong Run Report 1st Sunday of the Month – 3 April 2022
It was a dark and stormy morn and the Billy-goat was blind. He ran into a barb wire fence and tore his bare behind!
Not quite- and Billy Carta to the delight of all found his way to the Waurn Ponds start. It was good to see Bill again on his lovely R1100 RS after a long absence. Even our stalwart T.E.C Graeme found his way in the rain down from Laverton again and we had a surprising 7 starters for a planned ride to Trentham!
It was also great to have Andy Symons with us as we had been looking forward to making a small presentation to him on behalf of the Club President.
The weather wasn’t in fact too bad, but after a spin through Ceres and Batesford to Anakie it started raining again and we stopped at the Old Workshop Café Anakie for coffee and a re-think. It was decided to give Trentham and the hills away and head instead to Meredith.
The weather improved and we decided to do a loop down the Meredith/Shelford road to Shelford, Teesdale and Bannockburn, where we finished the ride with more chin wagging and good fellowship. An enjoyable day despite a bit of precipitation.
