Geelong shed run ride report, 17 November

With light showers I headed to the start for this months ride.
Stan Rogers suggested we go to his home in Torquay as we hadn’t been there for a while. With Stan leading and Graeme at the rear we headed out through Ceres, Grovedale, Freshwater Creek zig zagging our way to Anglesea on lovely quiet country roads.
Corner marking worked a treat.
Back onto the busy Great Ocean Rd turning off at Bells Beach. With a couple of short stops to re group we then went to Stan’s lovely home for a feast of sausage rolls, pies and cakes prepared by Stan’s wife Mariane. While the conversation was going on Stan produced a cannon that was gifted to his father years previous. To our amazement he packed some gun powder down the barrel, sat it on the ground and set it off!! After an almighty bang the crowd was suitably impressed, not so Stan’s wife. After another firing and time ticking away we said farewell and went our separate ways ending another top day .
