Geelong Sunday Ride
Being Easter Sunday rider numbers were down a little but 6 starters turned up. After a short discussion it was decided to have a short ride so family events could be attended. We had a club member turn up for his first ride with the group. David Riordan was riding a very nice 1956 Triumph. After the formalities were done Noel Wills took us through Ceres to Moriac then Winchelsea. On the road to Inverleigh 6 kilometers of roadworks were encountered, 3 of these were just loose gravel the other 3 had been sealed but were covered in loose aggregate! The bakery was shut and the little store was about to. However we managed to get drinks and some cakes. After 30 mins of banter we headed for home with riders peeling off on the way.
On my way home to St Leonards I decided that the Geelong CBD is not the place to ride on Easter Sunday!
A great day with great people.
