Midweek Ride report – Tuesday 7th May 2024

The ride started from the usual starting point in Greensborough and went through Diamond Creek, St. Andrews and up one of my non favourite roads to Kinglake, here we turned left and then almost immediately right into the road beside the service station and headed for the Yarra Glen-Yea Road. At Glenburn left onto the Break O Day Road and left again at the Whittlesea – Yea Road towards Flowerdale, then right to Strathcreek where we stopped and considered the new General Store for morning tea, but its closure made us head towards Broadford for our stop as per the original plan.

After morning tea we headed west from Broadford to Pyalong along roads that I hoped would take to Lancefield for lunch . In an attempt to lose some time and lengthen the ride I decided to do a loop that I thought I had previously been on. WRONG! after 6 – 8 kms of good road it turned to dirt. Bugger, about turn and follow the main road to Lancefield. Then to be advised it only lasted some 500 meters, Bugger.

After a filling of pies and coffee it was onto Romsey and then to Wallan where the ride ended and everyone made their way home.

Thank you to all those members that came for the ride.
