Southern Region Midweek Ride Report, 5th Feb 2019

Start at BP Servo Officer

Finish at Woori Yallock

It was an overcast Tuesday with an estimated top temp of 28, as  we assembled for a coffee and chat at the BP Servo Officer. At last minute Ed organised a slightly different route, due to the bushfires around Walhalla  area. It was a perfect day for a ride as the sun really only came out towards the end of the ride.

We headed east on the Princess Highway and turned off to Nar Nar Goon, Garfiled and Bunyip.

When we reached Longwarry we turned left towards Longwary North and some great riding was had, heading to Tarago, Jindivick, Rokeby and Crossover before reaching Neerim South for morning tea.

Then on to Nerrim East, Neerim Junction, Predmont, Powelltown, Gilderoy and then the back road just before Yarra Junction, to Hoddles Creek and ride end at Woori Yallock, where we all enjoyed pies and sandwiches from the local bakery. We traversed some roads I never new existed, thanks to the knowledge of Ed. It was a great ride which ended a little earlier due to the busfires. I forgot to reset my tripmeter, so not sure how many K’s travelled (probably around 160). Thanks a lot Ed.
