Sunday ride report, 15 Sept 2019

A humid morning with the threat of afternoon rain had me a little worried about the day. 7 starters and 3 guest riders met at Waurn Ponds for the short trip out to the You Yangs start point. On arrival the Melbourne crew were already there swelling the numbers to 16 machines and 3 lady pillion riders, well done.
After a quick chat about the day we headed towards Little River. What a fantastic sight looking back at the classics following.
The original track is still in the same condition as it was in the last race here in 1955 ,shocking! After 2 laps of the track, approx 13 kilometres we parked up at the mechanics hall to view some memorable photos of past events.
The Little River historical society putting on tea and coffee for us as a gesture for our attendance. After a group photo at the hall it was helmets on and head back to the turntable car park for a most enjoyable picnic and motorcycle chatter. After an hour and a bit and the radar screen showing heavy rain approaching we bid farewell.

Special thanks to those who made the effort to come from afar too hopefully enjoy the day.
