Vale – Ian & Jan Kennedy
It is with a heavy heart that I advise both Ian and Jan Kennedy have passed away as a result of a car accident on Sunday 5th November 2017.
Ian died at the scene, whilst Jan passed away the next day at the Alfred Hospital.
Ian and Jan joined the club in 1986 and were both Life Members since July 2011. The award was bestowed upon them not only for their efforts in running numerous Maffra rallies, but also for their tireless contribution to many clubs, organisations and charities in the Maffra area.
Our club has lost 2 great members, whist the Maffra area has lost part of its soul.
Our deepest sympathies go out to Ian and Jans family at this extremely difficult time.
A Service to Celebrate the lives of Mr Ian Thomas Kennedy and Mrs Janice (Jan) Lorraine Kennedy will be held at the Maffra Memorial Hall, Foster St Maffra at 11AM on Friday November 17th 2017. At the conclusion of the service, the funeral will leave the Hall for the Maffra Lawn Cemetery.
